"We booked with Expedia and upon arrival, were told we would have a few extra, unexpected fees. The front desk agents were understanding and very accommodating, ultimately resolving the issue to our utmost satisfaction. The "Nicer" room was incredibly spacious - more than large enough to fit two queen beds comfortably. The private patio was quaint with a gorgeous view. The bathroom was an interesting combination of an open whirlpool bathtub, private toilet, and frosted glass shower - possibly not the best for "roommate" type of guests. The only real complaint about the room were the light switches- their placement was somehow very counter-intuitive (especially to those who may have just spent the last 6 hours wine tasting). All-in-all, the staff was incredibly courteous, empathetic, and helpful. We would definitely stay again."

"The property was amazing and the staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. I felt like a queen here. Thank you for the wonderful experience at your awesome hotel. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway."

"Such a romantic getaway! Staff were so sweet and pleasant, helped me with fax (although didnt go through for many times they patiently tried and eventually got it done), offered assistance with door and drinks, provided rose to enhance our romance... even at the cold winter January, it's still pleasant and beautiful. Definitely worth a revisit!!!"

Five Guys, Five Stars

I talked about In-N-Out in a previous post and I wanted to make sure that I talked about Five Guys!!!
Five Guys does cost more than In-N-Out but it is equally AMAZING!

How it works is that you choose between a Hot Dogs, Sandwiches and Burgers:

Burgers
Hamburgers
Cheeseburger
Bacon Burger
Bacon Cheeseburger
*Little Hamburger
*Little Cheeseburger
*Little Bacon Burger
*Little Bacon Cheeseburger
*Little means that there is one patty.

Then you choose as many of their free toppings:
Mayo - Lettuce - Pickles - Tomatoes - Grilled Onions - Grilled Mushrooms
Ketchup - Mustard - Relish - Onions - Jalapeno Peppers - Green Peppers
Bar-B-Que Sauce - Hot Sauce - A1 Sauce

Fries
Fresh cut potatoes cooked in 100% peanut oil. You can choose from original or Cajan Style. We love the original and always order their small size because they overfill it and fries are always at the bottom of the bag. We love it!

Milkshakes
Their Vanilla milkshakes are so good too and can be topped with whipped cream and mixed with any of their mix-ins: bacon, bananas, cherries, chocolates, coffee, malted milk, Oreo cookie pieces, Oreo Cream, peanut butter, salted caramel or strawberries.

My husband always orders the Bacon Cheeseburger and I get the Little Cheeseburger.

Relationship tip: on this date ask questions like “What did you want to be when you were 10 years old” and "What were you favorite games to play as a kid?" Asking each other questions like these will create a fun conversation and you could learn something new about your spouse.

Spend a Day in Greenwich

When in London, make time in your schedule for a day in Greenwich! It’s where I went on my first date with my now husband. I thought it was the perfect date, so I decided to write about it!

IMG_2915.jpg

There are loads of things you can do in Greenwich. There is a museum, an observatory, a ship, a market and more! Whatever your interests are, you will find something fun to do in Greenwich!

IMG_0803.jpg

Before you even get to Greenwich, there are a couple of different ways to get there from London that are an experience in themselves. You could go on a Thames River Cruise on the Transport for London River Cruise or the Thames River Services from Parliament all of the way up the Thames to Greenwich. Or you can take the underground to the Island Gardens station and walk through the underground Greenwich Foot Tunnel! I’ve gotten to Greenwich both ways and both are great fun! If it’s your first time in London, I would suggest a river cruise so you can do a bit of touring on the way!

You could begin your day in Greenwich at the National Maritime Museum and then make your way up to the Royal Observatory and the Prime Meridian, where East meets West. Up on the hill is a perfect place to have an afternoon picnic with an incredible view of London!

After a picnic in the park, you could make your way down to the Cutty Sark and tour a really cool old ship. And we can’t forget the Queen’s House! After all of this, head on down to the Greenwich Market which would be a great way to end the day beautiful and historic Greenwich!

So many of these activities are free and all are so fun! They appeal to all sorts of interests and are really the perfect way to spend a day together in London.

Relationship Tip: When you have a day out together, it’s important for you to plan out your day so you have fun things to do, but also be willing to be flexible and go with the flow. A good balance of planned activities and spontaneity make for the perfect day together!
