"Really enjoyed the buffet meal. Some dishes are better than others but for a buffet the standard is very good. The servers are friendly and the views of the Capitol building and Salt Lake Temple are breathtaking. The desserts are heavenly and huge variety available."

"Delicious hot, cold and dessert buffet. Hot homemade rolls. Fantastic desserts. The best Italian sodas of anywhere I've ever tried. Beautiful sunset views! Overlooks the Christmas lights on Temple Square after Thanksgiving until the New Year. Nice romantic atmosphere for couples or special family occasions. Live pianist. You can order flowers to be delivered to the table. You would be best to have a reservation."

Stop on in at Freddy's

Yesterday was my husbands birthday and we decided to try Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers because we've had a few friends talk about how good it is.

The restaurants was named after Freddy Simon, a 91-year-old World War II veteran. The restaurant decor reflects the post-war of pride, optimism and values of his family. On the walls you will find black and white photos of him and his family. It's a very nice set up and we enjoyed eating here!

My husband ordered the #6 Double Steakburger California Style. It came with two steakburger patties, cheese, full slice of onion, Freddy's sauce, lettuce & tomato with a side of fries and a drink.

And I ordered the Freddy's Original Double. Two steakburger patties, cheese, mustard, onion & pickles with fries.

Their steakburger patties are more flat at this restaurant but I liked it for a change. My husband likes big hamburger patties so he wasn't crazy about how flat they were but we both agreed that we would go there again in the future.

We both really loved their Freddy's sauce. It's like a fry sauce and oh so delicious! I loved dipping my fries in it and so did my husband. Also their fries are shoestrings so they are thinner but really good!

For dessert we shared the Dirt n' Worms Concrete. It sounds interesting but it was so good because we are huge cookies n' cream lovers! It is a vanilla custard with Oreo cookies, Gummy Worms, whipped cream & a cherry. It was really good!!

Our total bill was about $16 and we were very satisfied with the service, food, and environment.
Freddy's serves a variety of combo's, sandwiches, hot dogs, frozen custards, kids meals and sides that you must try on a date with your spouse!

There are 3 locations along the Wasatch Front.

Relationship tip: on this date ask questions like “What subject do you find interesting now that you hated in high school? Why do you like it now, and why did you not like it then? How would you have taught it differently." and "Who was your favorite teacher in school and why?"

Asking each other questions like these will create a fun conversation and you could learn something new about your spouse.

"Just. Plain. Delicious. We have food trucks on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but this is the one that I go out of my way to plan for! I like the combo with chicken and spicy pork, and I've been going with a spice level 5 (my friend who first sent me likes a 3), but I might get a little brave and try 7 or 8 next time! They can do the whole spectrum, and I'm already craving it again as soon as I finish every morsel."

"Best take out EVER!! The food and the staff never disappoint. We are pretty excited about the new Midvale location! Tonight was my 2ND trip for takeout this week Order #5 with a lot of lime sauce + a dot of #6, "Cruz style"!! GREAT sauce combination! Employees there must love their job because Cruz was cracking jokes & making the visit fun! Thanks guys & I'm sure we will be back next week "

"Had Cupbop for the first time yesterday from their food truck and oh. my. gosh! This was the most delicious thing ever! Had the chicken rice bowl with the sweet (level 1) sauce and I'm craving it today! Looking forward to having it again!"
